Bob is the Principal Architect of Motley Design Group. His 30 years of experience has focused on historic preservation, urban infill and rehabilitation projects.
Bob is a leader in the historic preservation field. He has many significant rehabilitation projects and historical studies to his credit. In addition, he has been deeply involved with the preservation of Arizona’s heritage as a private advocate as well as through his involvement with preservation groups. He has also been very active in promoting the sensible redevelopment of central Phoenix.

Tom Hunt has over 40 years of experience in architectural design, planning and project management in a wide variety of building types. Mr. Hunt’s work has included numerous church and school projects and his industrial work ranges to very large manufacturing facilities. He has completed residential projects ranging from custom single-family homes to large apartment complexes. Retail, restaurant and shopping center projects are also a part of his experience.
Over the course of his architectural career, Mr. Hunt has had the opportunity to work on number of challenging projects, including fast-tracking large manufacturing facilities, pioneering earth-sheltered and sustainable design, creating inspirational religious buildings and completing multi-million dollar custom residences. Extensive construction training led to his becoming a construction foreman and owner of a design-build firm.
Mr. Hunt recently joined Motley Design Group as a project architect after managing other architectural firms and being president of his own design firm for over 20 years.
Lisa holds both an M. Arch degree from the Georgia institute of Technology as well as a BA in Anthropology from Harvard. She has ten years of experience with historic preservation and adaptive re-use projects, both in initial preservation planning and in the execution of preservation and adaptive reuse projects.
Lisa spent the early years of her career in Atlanta, Georgia. There she worked as an architectural historian, archaeological technician, and architectural designer and Job Captain.
Lisa started work here at Motley Design Group in 2015. She has a lead role in preservation planning projects, preparing National Register nominations and federal Historic Preservation Tax Credit applications, and provides design support for both preservation and new construction projects.
